Description

Wikipe-tan as her adult.

When I designed her (and her sisters), I had kept two advices in mind. The first is Fujiko F Fujio's phrase. "A good character design is a design can be distinguished with even his/her silhouette". I had read it in his manga technique book. The second is Scott McCloud's study about American comic artists in Golden Age. "They gave their superheroes the color charts symbolizing them". I had read it in McCloud's Understanding Comic.

Marisa Kirisame: Well, Wikipe-Tan, we would like to welcome to our family-

Wikipe-Tan: The Touhou Project, also known as Toho Project or Project Shrine Maiden, is a Japanese dōjin game series focused on bullet hell shooters made by the one-man developer Team Shanghai Alice, whose sole member, known as ZUN, is responsible for all the graphics, music, and programming for the most part.

Marisa Kirisame::...right. So, do you like being one of the new arrivals?

Wikipe-Tan: The term "new arrivals" comes from "Corpse Bride". "Corpse Bride", often referred as "Tim Burton's Corpse Bride", is a 2005 stop-motion-animated fantasy musical film directed by Mike Johnson and Tim Burton. It is set in a fictional Victorian era village in Europe. Johnny Depp led an all-star cast as the voice of Victor, while Helena Bonham Carter voiced Emily, the title character.

Marisa Kirisame: Yeah, but how do you feel about moving to Gensyoko?

Wikipe-Tan: Actually, the name of this village is "Gensokyo".

Marisa Kirisame: Right. So, my name is Marisa, if you need anything-

Wikipe-Tan: Marisa is a feminine given name. It is possibly derived from the name Marissa and is also a Spanish or Italian contracted familiar nickname for Maria Isabel (Mary Elizabeth) or Maria Luisa (Mary Louise, 'Mary-Lou').

Marisa Kirisame:...this is gonna be a long day.
